Gardein Launches Free Recipe App Packed with Delicious

 Meat-Free Recipes Perfect for Everyday

Vancouver, B.C. (August 23, 2011) — Gardein, an award-winning line of meat-free foods, today launched a new recipe app available in the iTunes Store to help people enjoy healthy, quick and easy meatless meals perfect for Indian summers, Meatless Mondays and year round. The app is free and available for use on iPhones, iPads and computers.

Gardein’s recipe app features new seasonal and balanced meals including Gardein Summer Berry Salad, 5 Spice Gardein Chick’n Noodle Salad, Gardein Korean Soft Tacos and Gardein Spinach and Chickpea Salad to name a few. Users can search recipes by categories: appetizer, salad, soup, entrée or by product name. A shopping list and store locator (where to buy Gardein) is also included within the app.

People that download the new app may participate in Gardein’s recipe app contest where an iPad will be awarded to one winner and three runner up prizes valued at $25 will be awarded to three winners. There are several ways to enter including: 1) submit a photo of the Gardein app on your iPhone or iPad or computer, 2) submit a photo of a Gardein bag in your kitchen or 3) submit a photo of your favorite Gardein meal.
