plant-based food, at five “Talk of the Town Pre-Concert Grill-Outs” this summer.
Media outlets from the Greater New York Metro area, Denver, Vancouver B.C. and Los Angeles are giving away concert tickets to fans of The Pretenders for concerts in their respective hometowns. Winners will receive admission to The Pretenders concert and a very special grill-out featuring
gardein—a tasty blend of plant-based proteins with a meaty-texture.
Chrissie Hynde, the lead singer of The Pretenders and animal rights activist, said “I have long advocated a vegetarian diet and am thrilled to offer my fans the opportunity to try gardein. In November 2007, Hynde opened The VegiTerranean, her vegan restaurant in Akron, Ohio. The restaurant serves fusion Italian-vegetarian food, and gardein is a popular ingredient in many menu items.
