sizzling szechuan beefless strips pilaf
- 1 cuprice
- 1 cupveggie broth
- 1/2 onion, finely diced
- 1 clovegarlic, minced
- 1 pkggardein beefless strips (with or without sauce)
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 1yellow pepper, diced
- 1serrano pepper, sliced
Prepare rice according to package directions, substituting veggie broth for water. When rice is cooked, set aside
Heat olive oil in saute pan. Add onion and garlic and saute for 2 minutes or until soft. Add beefless strips and saute 10 minutes, turning regularly to evenly cook until brown and crispy.
Add seeded and finely diced peppers and seeded sliced serrano pepper; continue to saute until peppers are bright in colour and tender crisp. Add sauce pack, if desired.
Serve over prepared rice.
